Heather Leson

Heather Leson is an idea hacker, community builder and incident manager. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts, Combined Honours in Political Science from Carleton University, a diploma from Seneca College, for Library and Information Technician and is ITIL V3 certified. For the past 10 years, Heather has worked for Internet organizations focused on technical projects and communications in Internet technologies including the management and resale of Domains, Email, and IP networking. Humanizing the web is her mission. She provides expertise in technical incident, customer care, escalation and emergency response. Haiti change her life and inspired her to volunteer as a community engagement tambourine player, a mapper-in-training (MIT) and leader within digital response communities including Random Hacks of Kindness, CrisisMappers, Stand-by Task Force, Ushahidi and CrisisCommons. She is also active with Mozilla Drumbeat community.
